Welcome to RUYAMUN Jerusalem 2026! From a concept and experience to a meaningful journey, a purposeful, persistent approach brought us all together here today. In a world where leadership among the younger generations is expected, RUYAMUN Jerusalem 2026 will show what this notion means to us and how it shapes our decisions. Leadership does not happen from day to day. It starts when one takes a position, makes decisions and takes responsibility. Impact does not delay. It starts now. One constant has been present in similar events. Every individual comes here with his or her own perspective, priorities and thought process. There is nothing wrong with it. There is everything right with it.
RUYAMUN Jerusalem 2026 is part of a broader initiative towards creating sustainability. Connecting cities, universities and other communities in the quest for a better understanding of one another will only strengthen us all. Here, at RUYAMUN Jerusalem 2026, we will not limit ourselves to anything superficial. We will encourage independent thought and discourse and challenge every idea and concept. This is no platform for the lazy and mediocre. Our goal is to foster an environment that will facilitate an active participation. There will be no titles here. We shall know each other by the ideas we share, discuss and debate. This is much more than participation. Make this event a step towards making a change and adding value not only for yourself, but for the future generations as well.
I would like to first address, on behalf of the Secretariat, how honorable it is to welcome you all to our prestigious RUYAMUN conference 2026. Despite the many yet manageable obstacles we have faced, we invite you all to an event that serves not only as a wonderful experience, but as a journey that helps our dear participants learn how to navigate as well as to use critical skills that shape us into our future selves. In a world overcome with turmoil and conflicts, it is essential to join hands and address those issues however we can. Conferences serve, not only as a way to raise awareness, but as a way to help the young generation learn how to assess and evaluate problems on paper that may very well turn into real-time urgencies.
Model United Nations is designed to help ambitious students morph their skills into an essential tool to solve global conflicts. It is a way to gather intelligent minds into a room where they are forced to address the importance of grave disputes, and the equal importance in how to solve them. Each committee session will serve as an individual experience for each participant. Whether it is overcoming one’s fear of public speaking, or turning creativity into acute discipline, they are the hours that result in the alteration in one’s sense of self. We heavily encourage you to use your time here as a way to beat obstacles, mingle with one another, and overall, to fully embrace this weekend fully. We humbly welcome you all to RUYAMUN. Let us make this experience worthy of the effort that preceded it.

This July, we challenge you to navigate our provocative theme, “Bent Axis”. Across our diverse committees, we will dissect the complex systems of power that govern our world. Together, we will investigate whether our global institutions are truly guiding humanity forward, or if they have drifted off course to serve a select few.
From our opening cultural gathering to the final gavels in the historic city of Jerusalem, your empathy, capacity for compromise, and critical thinking will be put to the test. This conference is more than a simulation; it is a collaborative space where young leaders transform systemic critique into meaningful human connections and actionable ideas. My team and I have poured our hearts into ensuring an unparalleled experience that inspires you long after the closing ceremony.
